How To Set Up IPTV On Apple TV And iOS
Apple devices are straightforward: the players are in the App Store, nothing needs sideloading, and installation takes a couple of minutes. The trade-off is that the available apps are less capable than TiViMate on Android.

6 Steps To A Working Channel List

Open the App Store
On Apple TV, tvOS has its own App Store on the home screen. On iPhone and iPad, use the normal App Store.

Install a player
Search for IPTV Smarters Pro or GSE Smart IPTV. Both are free, both accept Xtream Codes credentials and both run on tvOS and iOS. Smarters has the more familiar layout.

Choose Xtream Codes login
Open the app and select the Xtream Codes option rather than a playlist file. This brings the channel list, the guide and the on-demand library in one step.

Enter your credentials
Type the server URL, username and password exactly as sent. On Apple TV you can type using the Remote app on your iPhone, which is far quicker than the on-screen keyboard.

Wait for the list to load
The channel list appears within a minute; the guide takes a little longer. Leave the app open until both have finished.

Set the playback options
Reduce the buffer and confirm hardware decoding is on. Apple TV hardware is fast enough that most defaults work, but a smaller buffer makes channel changes feel noticeably quicker.

You can start a stream on an iPhone and AirPlay it to an Apple TV, which is a useful fallback when an app misbehaves on tvOS.
Use the iPhone as a keyboard
The Apple TV Remote in Control Centre lets you type with the phone keyboard. Entering a long server URL takes seconds instead of minutes.
